Kurzick area for both chest and faction acquisition - Guild Wars Forums

Well, got me 27 titles done, and, well, I need two more for the bloody GWAMM (got nothing else to do in GW....).

So, since I don't do PvP and already have almost 5 mil kurzick faction transferred, I've been toying with the idea of slowly working on both chests and faction at the same time. Read a book, c-space every once in a while, open any chests nearby. Got a year for it anyway. Simple idea.

Except... where would I go for it? Which area would be best for a spot where you can quickly find a few chests and enemies, preferably bosses?

P.S. Or would it be better to work on the Luxon title and spend the rest of my days in FA/JQ?

Did a lot of vanquishing with guild members when working on titles (Lux, Silent Surf/Kurz/Ferndale). There are chests in Ferndale that can drop Gothic Defenders, Echovold shields, Ornate shields, and other items. If you're lucky, it will have decent mods and you can sell for a nice price. There were quite a few bosses there as well. You can always change up the area and do another for something different.

I also did a lot of AB for some months because I got bored. Not done a lot of AB since. lol. JQ/FA give better rewards most of the time compared to AB though it seems.

I think they do MTSC now, using 3 critscythes, monk etc.. ~20mins for ~22k faction or something. And you should get 5 chests/run ideally, and most of the time that is..

So, 2,500,000 to farm / 22000 per run = ~113 runs * 5 chests per run = 565 chests you should get.. So the chests won't do it there.. It's not a h/h faceroll, but it's fast and convenient. You should join the #1 kurz ally and you should get kurz done pretty fast, and when you're done with that, you should do a chestrun somewhere (In Silent Surf I get 4-5 chests in ~3 mins). Think for yourself, what's your favorite sword/shield/focus/weapon skin? And where can I find it? My favorite shield skin is Outcast, and I was dieing to get one, so I started doing SS chest run for it. My title is kindo frozen now at ~4,200 but ima restart it somewhere soon I guess...
Echovald runs are harder imo, Luxon chestruns are a piss, seriously, all areas.. A lot of open area between mobs, and in SS everything is fighting with each other, so that makes it even more easy.. Another pretty neat chestrun is Pongmei Valley. You can get Ornates, Echo's, Amber stuff, Jade Swords, Plagueborn weapons, Bo Staffs, Platinum weapons etc from there, and it takes 4-5mins for 4-5 chests, so a little bit slower but a lot of nice skins too..

There is a chestrunners thread if you want advise on chestrunning.

Err you need 30 titles maxed for gwamm ( doesnt include the actual gwamm title ) so your actually 3 short not 2 - sorry

OK, seems people didn't quite get it. I'm not looking for the most effective faction gain method (I know those are Speed clears and JQ). But those are intense, fast procedures. I may do some of that, but in this thread I'm looking for something else.

A normal mode run, H/H, with me happily reading something on ALT-TAB while the heroes do the job of killing and slowly earning faction - while also looking for chests. So, an area where you get lots of spawn groups within visual range (since chests spawn with enemy groups).

P.S. yeah, I know. My sweet tooth title is at 7.5k ish, and it's going to be maxed out soon, so 27 titles maxed, one soon to be maxed but, the last two are what's needed.

I like Ferndale - usually 3 chests and several bosses. Get 25 kills before Mr Shovey on the bridge and you're golden.

I VQ Morostav Trail... yields on average 24k faction, which when donated turns into 48k points... normally just under an hour... only challenge is Sunreach Warmaker with all the pops around him... be cautious there.

Though the area is Kurzick it is typically Luxon controlled, but if you start from Unwaking Waters (Kurzick) the shrine there is always Kurzick to get the blessing.

Then just to be mean I always pick a fight with the other two shrines under Luxon control to gather a few more faction points.

Also, your first couple times, wander around as there are several pops to be had to increase the points.

What I like about the area is the pond in the middle, which makes it easy for me to navigate.

Edit: as to chests, haven`t specifically counted, but 5 to 8 chests per run seems normal.

Just so you know, the MTSC I was talking about = Morostav trail

and people do it in ~20minutes if i'm correct, so just under 1 hours isn't that good xD

There are 5 bosses and lots of foes in Morostov Trail around Durheim Archives, so a fast run can be done easily, especially in NM. The thing is that the area is usually Luxon controlled.

There are also 2-3 chests around the lake, too.

Or you can try starting from the Unwaking Waters, the shrinwe is always Kurzick there. There are two bosses just outside, you can kill them in a minute. There may be only one or two chests in the vincinity, though.
